In our Vin'Osteria we spoil you with pasta & Neapolitan pizza, an extensive selection of wines and grappa, summer drinks, unusual gin cocktails, beer from the regional private brewery "Altenauer" and much more.
For starters, choose a burratina, a carpaccio alla Cipriani, beef fillet pounded by us or the original style of vitello tonnato from the "House of Savoy".
In addition to the typical Osteria cuisine of pizza & pasta, we offer special dishes on our special menu. This could be a turbot, a saltimbocca alla romana or a fiorentina. Let us surprise you.

800-degree Beefer

We have an extra treat for steak fans: a permanent steak menu and we have treated ourselves to an 800-degree Beefer for this purpose😁
From entrecôte, fillet of beef and porterhouse to Japanese-style and tomahawk, everything is on offer.

On the other hand, vegetarians and vegans also get their money's worth here.

Wine selection:

A wine list with a selection of over 70 wines leaves nothing to be desired.
Lovers will also find the great Tuscan wines Tignanello, Ornellaia and Sassicaia
This also applies to sparkling wines and digestifs with top grappas from Berta and fruit brandies from Fassbind

The ambience ranges from cosy and modern to stylish. Solid oak with real tree edging meets velvet-covered New York-style seating. The latest Italian pop music plays discreetly from a SONOS sound system, occasionally enhanced with Pavarotti's Caruso or Nessun Dorma.

Enjoy a selection of our cicchetti with your afternoon drinks or as a starter, and with it a slice of the Italian way of life.

Equipment :

The Montevino has made a good name for itself in just 3 years and is proud of a catchment area of almost 100 kilometres and more. Word has spread quickly that the Montevino has added Italian cuisine to Schierke's gastronomic diversity.
Parking spaces are in short supply in Schierke. We have up to 12 parking spaces for our guests.
The terrace roof can be opened completely (roof and sides) so that on nice days a large terrace invites you to linger and feast.

Pizza

Original Napoletan, the crust is not a biscuit, but fluffy and a delicacy in its own right.
It measures at least 32 cm in diameter and is generously topped.
Based on the almost 1,000 reviews, it is clear that it is the best pizza in the Harz region and beyond.

Tartufi

Truffle dishes are a particular speciality at Montevino. Restaurant chef Claude was a truffle dealer for the Braunschweig/Hanover area for many years. During the summer or winter truffle season, the truffle pasta is prepared at the table in a large Parmesan loaf and then served professionally.

Breakfast:

We also ask guests who are not staying in the Bergwaldsuites to order in advance for the breakfast buffet.

Celebrations, parties

With the Montvino, the Italian way of life has moved into the small mountain village of Schierke, as most of our staff are of Italian origin.
