The name says it all: we prepare a variety of dishes "originally", namely exclusively on an open fire. From meat creations and fish dishes to fruit and vegetable variations: This special method of preparation paired with fresh herbs and aromatic spices creates very special flavour experiences.

Regionality is a top priority

We pay close attention to the origin of our ingredients. For example, we have meat from Harz Red Mountain cattle, trout from local waters and drinks from the Altenau brewery. We also take seasonal and regional fruit and vegetables into account in our food compositions. When looking at our menu, many people are surprised at what can be prepared over glowing coals, as numerous vegetarian and vegan dishes can also be found there. In addition to savoury dishes, there are also delicious desserts from the fire and homemade cakes baked daily.
