The river Tiefundkalt flows through the depths of the Harz forests. It separates the familiar world of the Little Hare from the mysterious Jetieferjeschwärzer forest. There, where the forest
is darkest, that is where the happiness of the world is said to be found. The happiness of the world! The Little Hare is determined to find it. But on his way to the river Tiefundkalt he encounters some strange forest dwellers. Without further ado, he declares himself a Brave Hare and manages to get to the other side of the river. Only the king of the forest can tell him how he can discover the happiness of the world for himself. And it really does take a lot of courage, nerves of steel and a very good idea.
