Everyone knows the TEUFELSMAUER AM HARZ.
But very few people realise that many of these rocks were pre-Christian places of worship, whose legends tell of the work and beliefs of our early ancestors. The lecture by the Harz's most famous legend teller - Carsten Kiehne - will take you back to long-forgotten times and show you the customs that we still practise today without understanding the meaning behind them. Come with us to the magical, almost forgotten places of the Devil's Wall, which are waiting to be rediscovered off the beaten track: the Gegenstein with its god's throne, the Mönchstein with its grotto, the Königsstein with its coffin and sacrificial stone, the Hamburg coat of arms with its oracle rock and even the grandmother and grandfather, synonyms for the old gods, Frigg and Wodan.
There is no separate entrance fee for this event. All spectators only need an admission ticket for the Bürgerpark.
