Miniature Park

Visit the Harz Mountains in just one day? The "Kleiner Harz" miniature park makes it possible. In just a few minutes, you can travel from the Imperial Palace in Goslar past Halberstadt Cathedral to Wernigerode Castle. In Thale, the cable car, like its great role model, takes you up to the Hexentanzplatz, framed by the impressive backdrop of the Bode Valley. The approximately 60 models of the most important Harz sights have been produced on a scale of 1:25 and are particularly impressive due to their attention to detail. Every little window sill, every roof tile and every decoration has been taken from the original. The miniature buildings are framed by the lovingly designed landscape backdrop of bonsai trees, mountains, rocks and streams.

With its numerous model locomotives and carriages, which run on a total track length of approx. 400 m, the "Little Harz" makes railway enthusiasts' hearts beat faster. At the replica Wernigerode Westerntor station, railway fans young and old can marvel at the miniature Harz narrow-gauge railway as it snorts its way through the mountain landscape to the Brocken.

At the "Kleiner Harz" construction site, children can dig to their heart's content or play hide-and-seek in the willow labyrinth. Listen to Harz legends and fairy tales in the fairy tale pavilion.

Our "Miniature Park AR" app is also brand new. Together with the Brockenbande, little adventurers can solve 10 exciting mini-games and puzzles and thus interactively explore the "Little Harz".

The miniature park is part of the garden architecture of the Wernigerode Bürgerpark. The 15-hectare former state garden show grounds have many other experiences in store for you.

The Bürgerpark

The 15-hectare landscaped park, now known as the Bürgerpark, was created for the Wernigerode State Garden Show in 2006. It is criss-crossed by a wide ribbon of more than 60 themed gardens, which you can explore on 2 circular paths. The peony garden and the alternating flower beds in the entrance area are particularly popular - they delight visitors with their exuberant abundance of flowers. In addition, more than 180,000 early bloomers in the park set the mood for spring at the start of the season.

With the new adventure tower installation provides plenty of action: 3 towers connected by two suspension bridges offer unique views - a glass-bottomed walkway to the outside provides a special a special experience. 2 tube slides that lead down from the towers, promise heart palpitations.

The park is also an ideal place to relax. Make yourself comfortable on the relaxation loungers, in the beach chairs or on the island by the waterfall and enjoy the unique panorama of the Harz scenery. The mineral gorge, numerous biotopes and 5 ponds also offer the opportunity to observe nature.

Our "Bürgerpark - My Tour" app is also brand new. This allows you to take multimedia tours through the park. The app takes you on a very special journey along very special places in the Bürgerpark using voice prompts.
