A breath, a moment - captured and in motion at the same time. With her new exhibition, the Wernigerode artist Melanie Kuna-Drechsler invites you to encounter the moment intensively: with emotions, memories and stories that hover between reality and fantasy. She draws her inspiration from the nature of the Harz Mountains, from fairy tales and from the quiet and turbulent moments of everyday life. From these sources, she creates works that transform fleeting impressions into a powerful visual language. By combining mixed media techniques with the natural material beeswax, Kuna-Drechsler develops an unmistakable visual language that does not have to be spoken, but can be felt.
