Regional quality in Ströbeck

Since 2001, the farm shop of Udo Odenbach from Ströbeck has been known regionally for its home-made butchery products.
Now he has handed over the reins to his son Erik.
He continues to run the farm shop with a new name and an expanded range of products. In the "Harzer Genusswerk" you will find sausage specialities made in the traditional way as well as home-made cold cuts at fair prices.

The homemade braised sausage is a must-try!

Do you have a barbecue on your terrace? The Harzer Genusswerk offers the finest minced meat and grilled meat from happy Harz pigs.

Also in the range is a constantly growing selection of regional products such as
- hemp products and mustard from Quedlinburg,
- fruit spreads and oils from the Fallstein distillery in Rohrsheim and
- cheese from Harz Red Highland cattle from Westerhausen.
- Honey from the Huy

We attach great importance to regional products, sustainability and short distances.

"In 2022 we decided to turn our backs on the big city and move to the countryside, and in 2023 we took over the family business.

This is also how the plan to offer only regional products was born.

Every week, one of the self-raised pigs is slaughtered and processed into sausage. "The feed traditionally consists of meal and potatoes. We even grow the grain ourselves. Our pigs grow up slowly and happily bedded in straw, they even almost all celebrate a birthday once."

The Ströbeck native and trained chef enjoys his work and is sure that the future lies in regional crafts and trade.
From Easter to October, there is now also a farm vending machine in Schierke at
Harz Mountain Camp with braised sausage, grilled meat, mustard, honey and more.
