When Wöltingerode Monastery is bathed in festive lights, the scent of Christmas wafts through the historic monastery courtyard and atmospheric music fills the air, the most wonderful time of the year begins: The Wöltingerode Advent Market invites you to enjoy a special experience for the whole family over two Advent weekends.

On the weekends of 28 & 29 November and 5 & 6 December 2026, the historic monastery grounds are transformed into one of the most atmospheric Christmas markets in the region. Over 80 selected craftspeople present lovingly crafted, one-of-a-kind items, handmade gift ideas, festive decorations and special treasures for the Advent and Christmas season.

The festively decorated Wöltingerode Monastery provides the perfect backdrop for a relaxing winter outing. Visitors can stroll through the decorated market stalls, discover regional specialities and enjoy the unique atmosphere of the historic monastery.

A varied programme for the whole family

The Advent market delights visitors with a varied programme of entertainment for young and old alike. Look forward to atmospheric live music, choir concerts, readings and traditional Christmas tunes.

In addition, the Silberborn Puppet Theatre invites you to entertaining performances, making the Advent market a special experience for families.
