Klosterhotel Wöltingerode

At the foot of the Harz mountains and at the gates of the World Heritage city of Goslar, the Wöltingerode Monastery has been watching over the Oker Valley and the adjoining lands since 1174. To this day, the complex is a wonderful starting point for excursions and also has much to offer within the historic monastery walls.

The monastery hotel has 55 comfortable and modern non-smoking rooms of 3-star superior standard. In addition to the historical flair of the monastery walls and a fantastic view of nature, all rooms are equipped with solid wood furniture, shower/WC, flat-screen TV, telephone and a free WLAN connection.

There are many event locations - but only one where everything is possible under one roof. In addition to wedding celebrations and overnight accommodation for the entire wedding party, many weddings also take place in Wöltingerode. Whether you want to get married only in a small civil ceremony or additionally with a church or free ceremony: everything is possible - on one day or on a whole weekend. We are happy to recommend our professional partners and service providers for the various requirements of your wedding.

Civil wedding

The stylish Benedictine Hall in the Klosterhotel is an official branch of the Goslar registry office and is also open to couples who do not reside in Goslar. Unfortunately, the Saturday dates are limited and very much in demand, so early booking is essential. Church wedding

You can have a Protestant or Catholic wedding in our monastery church. This is possible through the parishes in Goslar-Vienenburg or through your "own" priest, e.g. from your home parish or family circle. The monastery church has room for about 100 people.

Free wedding ceremony in the green

On the romantic monastery lawn (and in bad weather in the cloister) free wedding ceremonies are possible according to your wishes.

Meetings

Ten individual conference rooms await you at the Klosterhotel! Suitable for your group of 5 to 200 people, for further education and learning, for the seminar or even for the board meeting. All our rooms have daylight and some even have their own access to the monastery garden. There is also plenty of space for small breaks in the green.

High ceilings, fine furnishings and a special flair characterise our Benedictine halls and the "nuns' gallery" as meeting rooms for exclusive occasions. The library or the Green Salon are equally impressive group rooms. Our experience with a wide variety of events ensures that your product presentation, live television stream or the handling of unusual VIP requirements run smoothly.

Events

A wide variety of events take place at the monastery throughout the year. Markets, concerts, readings, culinary events and tastings, guided tours, church services and much more have their place on the monastery estate. One of the annual highlights is undoubtedly the Advent market at the monastery, which attracts thousands of visitors, but the smaller, finer events are always worth a visit too.
