"Schierke in "Advent and Christmas splendour"

From 29 November 2025 to 3 January 2026, Schierke will shine in the magic of lights.
"Together we make Schierke to shine"

Where? Special buildings, houses and squares in the village are illuminated with festive are staged with festive lighting, e.g:

• Church
• town hall
• Kindergarten
• arena
• Kalte Bode
• Mauseklippe
• spa gardens
• and the buildings of many tourist service providers such as restaurants, pottery, holiday homes etc.

There are a total of 34 illuminated spots in and around Schierke

A highlight for residents and guests.

When? Every Friday and Saturday from 17:00 to 21:00
In addition: Festive days in the glow of lights at Christmas (24-26 December)

How? The participating locations in the village and on the outskirts are illuminated with modern LED technology.
Why? To make Schierke a special experience during the Advent and Christmas season
To strengthen the community and bring joy to guests and locals alike

Visitors can warm up and fortify themselves at the catering establishments and mulled wine stands at selected locations in Schierke.

Also worth seeing is the nativity scene with life-size carved figures in the bandstand.

And a special highlight awaits on 5 December:

MDR will be on site with its programme "Hol Dir die Show", which will be broadcast live from 20:15 in the Schierker Feuersteinarena.
