Golf-Club Harz

The Harz Golf Club , founded in 1969, is located on the northern edge of the Harz Mountains, in the middle of the spa town of Bad Harzburg. Originally a 9-hole course, it was extended to 18 holes in 2007.

While the old part is a classic, slightly hilly parkland course with beautiful old trees, the newer part offers wide views into the Harz foreland and over the stud meadows. Part of the course beautifully integrates the racecourse of the Harzburger Rennverein, which is often described as the most beautiful natural racecourse in Germany.

The clubhouse is located near the centre of the spa town and is easily accessible for golfers. The club restaurant is also located there, which offers a large terrace with a view over the 18 and into the sunset. The "Aubergine" restaurant is open to all guests.

Equipment :

The 18 holes (par 72) with a total length of 5,793 metres for men and 5,019 metres for women are very varied. You have a view of the green of the Harz mountains from almost all holes of the course.

Interestingly designed water hazards and extensive biotopes add to the atmosphere of the 64-hectare course, as does the view of the neighbouring game reserve on hole 14, where deer and roe deer watch your drive closely!

The course is an interesting sporting challenge for single handicappers, but also presents beginners with solvable problems and enables a sense of achievement.

Despite the hilly terrain, the course is playable on foot. If you want to be more comfortable or go a little faster, you can rent one of the premium e-carts for the round.

After the round, it is worth taking a detour to the club restaurant "Aubergine", which delights its guests with Mediterranean cuisine. A sundowner on the large terrace with a view over course 18 is a good way to reflect on the round. The restaurant is open to everyone.

A small but well-stocked golf shop is also available and provides snacks for the round.

For "not-yet-golfers" we regularly offer free taster golfing, and once the golf fever has been kindled, an attractive taster membership with included course licence. Please contact our secretary's office for more information.

Tournaments are held regularly on our course, and we are also happy to welcome guests.
