On 12 October 2025, the Bürgerpark Wernigerode invites you to the Regional Day. From 11:00 to 17:00, visitors can expect a varied and informative programme on the topic of "Herbs, spices & enjoyment". The event is all about regional products and traditional agriculture.

Together with partners from the Harz region, the Bürgerpark aims to provide a platform to raise interest in regional products and supply chains. As part of the Regional Day, visitors can taste and buy regional food and drink at various stands. Historical agricultural technology and vehicles will also be on display, which should be of particular interest to technology enthusiasts.

Younger guests will not miss out either: there are numerous hands-on and craft activities for children, providing entertainment and variety.

"The last band in the world" will provide all guests with live music to sing or even dance along to. Everything from Irish folk, German pop and rock is on offer.

As a highlight of the day, all visitors can watch the Harz pumpkin weighing championships. "Who has the heaviest" is the motto of the day. Last year there were heavyweights weighing almost 500 kg.
