Hiking through the Harz Mountains with Heine - pure pleasure and a challenge at the same time, as he managed up to 50 kilometres a day and was still able to whistle and tease people.

Last year, the Harz Museum organised a highly acclaimed exhibition to commemorate his "Harz Journey" two hundred years ago.

Writer Bernd Wolff also accompanied him on this tour, further than the poet himself had taken his readers, on foot and by pen, himself and other cliffhangers.

On 13 August from 3.30 pm, he will talk about Heine's journey and read from his novel at our Literature Café.
