Hotel & Spa Suiten FreiWerk

The Hotel & Spa Suites FreiWerk is not like any other hotel. It is situated on a hill overlooking Stolberg and the southern Harz mountains. A Bremen shipping magnate discovered this magical place for himself over 120 years ago and built his summer residence in 1895 as a prestigious half-timbered complex with a large main house and outbuildings. In 2011, Dr Clemens Ritter von Kempski acquired the site and gave the house back its historic charm. In 2014, the former summer house in the Harz Mountains celebrated its premiere as the FreiWerk hotel and forest lounge.

In 2019, it was finally converted and expanded into the current charming hideaway with 30 rooms. It is an attractive retreat with an exceptional gastronomic offering and a small but exquisite wellness and conference area. The Private Spa Suites opened in 2024 - two-storey suites for a luxurious holiday for two in absolute privacy.
