The house radiates its very own gentle tranquillity, the perfect deceleration in connection with a wonderful nature, directly in the the neighbourhood.

The renovated Wichtelhus with its 4-star comfort and nostalgic ambience is already an insider tip among holidaymakers in the Harz. The house is usually designed for 10 people. On request, however, up to 12 people can be accommodated on sofa beds and extra beds. The house is situated near the forest in a very quiet and sunny location above Braunlage and is only about 700 metres away from the small magic world. All destinations such as hiking trails, ski, cross-country ski and toboggan runs, cable car, ice rink or our restaurant in the small magic world are within walking distance. The valley station of the Wurmberg cable car and the ice rink are in the immediate vicinity. The forest and the start of the marked hiking trails are just 150 metres away. In winter it is only a 5-minute walk to the ski practice slope or 10 minutes to the floodlit cross-country ski trail

The Wichtelhus is divided in such a way that you can book it as an entire holiday home for 10+ people, depending on the size of your family or travel group. The spacious ground floor is usually intended for 4 people. However, up to 8 people can sleep here on sofa beds and an extra bed. The ground floor is particularly suitable for older people due to its ground-level location and furnishings.

The spacious ground floor has a fully equipped kitchen with a corner seating area, a spacious bathroom with shower and a smaller WC with washing facilities. The restored floorboards and the original, old wooden doors create a pleasant, rustic ambience. A small balcony on the sunny side with a view of the garden invites you to linger. When renting to larger groups or families, it is possible to set up a large dining table in the veranda.

The second floor of the house is designed for 6 people. Here, too, there is a fully equipped kitchen and a lovingly, nostalgically furnished dining room with a playful tiled stove. There is also a rustic seating area with a fireplace (no lighting permitted for either). The antique wooden ceilings of these rooms and old wooden doors create a cosy atmosphere. The floor and stairs are also made of wooden planks. A highlight is the almost 30 square metre roof terrace. When the weather is fine, you can dine here or enjoy the sun on the seating set. Two modern bathrooms with large showers round off the feel-good ambience.

Naturally, we provide you with bed and table linen as well as towels and tea towels free of charge. On request, you can also book our rich breakfast buffet in the "Kleine Zauberwelt", which is only 700 metres away. Five car parking spaces are available for your car directly at the house. Smaller dogs are also welcome on request.
