This hiking route requires a good level of fitness and, of course, sturdy footwear. The start of the hike is conveniently accessible by public transport. The route first leads past the Romkerhall waterfall, at the foot of which, according to legend, sits a frog waiting to be kissed.

It then passes the "mousetrap". It was given this name because the large stone of the cliff is only supported by a very narrow stone. Visually, it resembles a kind of trap. After approx. 2 km, the 8.7 km route leads to the "Hexenküche" and shortly afterwards to the "Kästeklippen", where the guest house once stood. Apart from its foundation wall, there is unfortunately little to see here today apart from the stamp box at the crossroads.

The next smaller rock formation you come across while hiking the route is the Devil's Cliff, followed by the much larger St Mary's Wall, where you can occasionally see one or two climbers scaling the steep rocks.

The route continues along the beautiful equalising basin at the Okertal dam. Here the trees reach right up to the edge of the shore and provide a breathtaking view - a great panorama! The last stop on this hiking trail is the "Engagement Island". Accessible via a small bridge, it invites you to take a picnic break.
