The Neue Wernigeröder Zeitung (NWZ), which we publish, is a special source of information for the town and surrounding area.

The Neue Wernigeröder Zeitung was founded in 1990 by the publishing house Jüttners Buchhandlung. For more than 33 years, it has been the responsibility of editor Christine Trosin. It sees itself as the successor to the "Wernigeröder Zeitung und Intelligenzblatt", which was published regularly by the Struck family and their successors from 1799 until the 1930s.
In addition to current pages about life in the town and the district, the NWZ contains information about cultural highlights and a monthly calendar of events. There are reports on remarkable people, professions and companies, well and knowledgeably researched historical reports, as well as special pages from Ilsenburg, Benneckenstein, Halberstadt, Osterwieck and many other places. Puzzle pages and Low German stories complete the offer. The photos are of special, mostly artistic charm.
