7th Stolberg Castle Run on 30 August 2025

Running for a good cause! The 7th Stolberg Castle Run will take place on Saturday, 30 August 2025.

Run or walk your way through the impressive nature of the southern Harz. You can choose between the 10-kilometre run, the 5-kilometre run or walk, the challenging half-marathon distance and a relay race. The youngest runners take part in the 300-metre Bambini run and a 2.2-kilometre run for everyone rounds off the sports programme.

The perfect backdrop for the start and finish is Stolberg Castle, the town's landmark and once again the centrepiece of the sporting event.

This year's run will once again be for a good cause, as every entry fee includes a donation to a regional project.

The idea behind and organisers of the running event are the Ritter von Kempski Privathotels, which include the Naturresort Schindelbruch and the Romantik Hotel FreiWerk in Stolberg. "We are delighted with the great response from Stolberg and the region and would like to thank our sponsors and supporters, whose commitment has once again made the event possible," says Dr Clemens Ritter von Kempski, owner and managing director of Ritter von Kempski Privathotels. "The Stolberg Castle Run is an excellent ambassador for the region. It combines the joy of sport with a commitment to regional tourism," continued Dr Clemens Ritter von Kempski.
