On 19 October 2025, the Landestrachtenverband Niedersachsen e.V. invites you to the 9th "Day of Traditional Costume". In the historic setting of Wöltingerode Monastery, you can experience the colourful diversity of Lower Saxony's traditional costume landscape.
Traditional costume stands for more than tradition - it tells stories about origin, community and culture. You can look forward to a lively programme with traditional costume wearers, folk dancing and open interaction.
A festival for everyone who wants to experience culture, discover diversity and combine tradition with the present.
The Landestrachtenverband Niedersachsen e.V. (LTN) works on a purely voluntary basis and is the state association for over 100 groups and numerous individual members from the field of traditional costume and folk dance. The LTN has set itself the task of preserving folk dance, traditional costume and customs.
