20 years of the Wernigerode Garden Show - a special occasion for Kati Frädrich to look back: on the State Garden Show in Wernigerode as well as on the historical origins of garden shows, which date back to the late 18th century.

In her richly illustrated lecture, Kati Frädrich takes you on a journey through the history of garden shows. IGA, BUGA and LAGA. What characterises the individual formats, what connects them? How have the concepts changed over the course of more than 100 years - and how are they perceived by visitors?

Saxony-Anhalt has also had its own garden shows since 1999. The retrospective begins in Magdeburg and naturally devotes special attention to Wernigerode. This journey through time is accompanied by a small prize puzzle that not only entertains, but also provides an exciting glimpse into the future.

No separate admission is required to take part in the event. A regular admission ticket for the Bürgerpark is sufficient.
