The Schierker Baude is the educational and leisure centre of the Sportjugend im Landessportbund Sachsen-Anhalt e.V., the largest youth organisation in Saxony-Anhalt.

Our educational centre is a lively place of learning, right on the edge of the Harz National Park, where we live the values of our youth association with our action-oriented concept. Learning together in a wonderful natural environment, gaining experience of movement and experiencing the positive power of community while working in a resource-conserving way form the basis of our form of youth work.

We invest in the future of young people by using sport as a method, means and end of youth work. For us, games, fun and sport, regular exercise and the experience of community in a sports club guarantee the health, well-being and positive personal development of young people.

By creating a liveable environment for young people through our programmes, offering them guidance and motivation, we provide them with the skills they need to take on social responsibility and civic engagement in the long term.

Our aim as a centre is to offer our guests a place where they can feel at ease and learn in a relaxed atmosphere. In addition to youth and sports-orientated accommodation, this includes a varied, healthy regional cuisine that caters to the needs of our guests with fresh ingredients. Appreciation within our team and towards our guests characterises our working style.

The conditions in the educational and leisure centre in Schierke are based on the interests of the target groups, especially children and young people.
