Harz Mountain Camp am Schierker Stern

The Harz Mountain Camp is located directly at the "Harz" National Park between Schierke and Elend.

From the site you have a wonderful view of the Brocken, the Königsberg and the Winterberg.
The Harz Mountain Camp is the highest campsite in the Harz at around 630 metres above sea level.
We offer pitches for motorhomes or caravans and plenty of space for mountain tents.

We do not offer permanent camping on our site.

You can also rent a cosy Scandinavian overnight cabin.

We are open almost all year round.
Here you will find everything you need for an eventful winter camping holiday with ski hikes, tobogganing fun or nature watching in the winter mountain forest.
And in summer we are an ideal starting point for climbers, hikers and cyclists.

After an active day, you can relax in our barrel sauna or simply enjoy the fantastic view of the Harz mountains.

Speaking of enjoyment: we have something very special for barbecue fans: the finest barbecued meat and much more from the regional farm shop "Harzer Genusswerk" KÖSTLICH! You will find everything super fresh in our well-stocked meat fridge / "Hofautomat" at the reception
