"MacPiet" - This name not only stands for the red-bearded Rhinelander, from
and occasionally in a Scottish kilt, who has been at home in southern Schleswig-
Holstein for almost 40 years, but also for the music and the good humour that he uncompromisingly brings to his audience at
his performances. He always involves his
audience in his programme, making every performance a
very special experience for guests and musicians alike!
MacPiet sees himself as the "unofficial ambassador of Irish pub culture in
Germany" and, after around 28 years of stage experience, can look back on numerous
appearances: whether in Irish pubs, at town festivals, at trade fairs, weddings,
birthdays, at various festivals or as a support act for, among others, "Torf".Whether at pubs, fairs, weddings,
birthdays, at various festivals or as the opening act for "Torfrock" or "Versengold", among others - he breaks the ice with charm and humour at around
175 concerts every year, delighting audiences with Irish &
Scottish folk, oldies, classics and his own songs on the guitar and with the
Scottish bagpipes!
