Situated between Quedlinburg and Aschersleben in the Harz foreland, the Harz lake district around Lake Concordia delights visitors with a wide range of activities and a special variety of events.

Lake Concordia is the largest artificial lake in the Harz foreland, covering an area of 3.5 square kilometres. Its extensive sandy beach with sunbathing area and extra dog beach is very popular in summer.
Thanks to its open location and large surface area, there is always a pleasant breeze, which surfers, sailors and kite surfers enjoy.

When there is less wind, canoes and pedalos are available for hire.
One highlight is the Harzer Seeland adventure land, which is the largest adventure playground in the Harz Mountains at around 8 hours.

More than 50 pieces of play equipment, figures, climbing castles, swings and seesaws - mostly made of wood - invite you to let off steam. Most of the equipment is dimensioned so that adults can also become children again and experience adventures together with their offspring.

The focal point of the region is Lake Concordia - the largest artificial lake in the Harz foreland with an area of around 3.5 square kilometres.

Its extensive sandy beach and spacious sunbathing lawns invite you to swim, sunbathe and relax, especially in summer. Four-legged friends are also welcome: A dedicated dog beach ensures that pets can also let off steam.

Covered seating areas and barbecues can be hired on the extensive grounds.

The open location of the lake almost always ensures a pleasant breeze. This is precisely what makes Lake Concordia a favourite spot for sailors, surfers and kite surfers. Those who prefer to enjoy the water at a more leisurely pace can hire canoes or pedal boats and experience the lake from a completely new perspective.

A special highlight for families is the Harzer Seeland adventure land. Central Germany's largest outdoor adventure playground stretches over around eight hectares. More than 50 pieces of play equipment, figures, climbing castles, swings and seesaws - mostly made of wood - invite children to romp, explore and climb.

Much of the play equipment is designed so that adults can also become children again. This creates shared adventures where families can laugh, play and experience unforgettable moments together.

The extensive grounds also have covered seating areas and barbecue areas that can be hired. Perfect for a family outing, a children's birthday party or a relaxed summer's day with friends.
